Parking in New Orleans

OP here, just to follow up, here's my experience. Filrupmark had it right; the public lot right on the river between roughly the Jax brewery building and Cafe du Monde worked out great. There is a sign saying "no oversized vehicles", but apparently they don't consider mine to be such. I asked the security person upon entering and again after parking, and she said no problem. Parked there in early afternoon and the next evening. There was some street parking on many of the FQ streets, but not sure I would be comfortable with leaving it there only due to the width of the duallies. I had no problem navigating even some of the side streets. The bus from Pontchartrain Landing was easy, but the timing didn't work for our plans. All in all a great trip. Walked all over the FQ and over to Frenchman St. and had a great time! Thanks to all who responded to my question.
