Phoenix and Palm Springs Parks

We are planning to attend golf tournaments in Phoenix and Palm Springs, the last two weeks in Jan. are there any parks there that allow week long as opposed to longer stays? Would appreciate any advice. We would like a park with some nice amenities and full hook ups. As always, thanks for your help.

  • We decided to swing over that way about the same time as you and chose Indian Waters in Indio; not Palm Springs, but close. Got a very good deal. We have not stayed there before.
  • Caliente(Desert Hot Springs) accepts Passport America and is a top resort. We stayed there a week last December.
  • There are lots of RV parks in the Phoenix area. We Winter at Phoenix Metro RV park in N Phoenix at I 17 & Deer Valley Road. There are 2 parks next to each other and they are both good parks. There are also more nice parks on the west side of Phoenix. At Palm Springs we have stayed at Caliente Hot Spring RV park in Desert Springs and have liked it. It has great natural hot spring fed pools. Good luck
  • We, also, would highly recommend the Maricopa County parks in the greater Phoenix area. They're awesome! Unfortunately, they now accept reservations so no more spur-of-the-moment camping in the 3-seasons unless you're lucky, so do get reservations.

    Maricopa County Parks
  • The Maricopa County parks, which are the nicest, in the area anyway, allow such stays (Usery Mtn, McDowell Mtn just to name two).

    yes, there are.

I suggest you look at rvparkreviews.com, find a park that appeals to you, and call them to make a reservation.
