You can head north to the golden road and north maine woods,some pretty good brook trout fishing up there, get a Maine atlas and gazetteer. also northmainewoods.org is helpful

I'll be in Maine this summer as well, with my wife, for about a month. Staying on a private spring fed lake with plenty of Togue to catch. Be sure to get a non resident license. Maine Game Wardens have no humor.

Since you are heading for a coast, try something different. Surf and shore fishing for Striped Bass is great all along the maine coast,
