Pocono Raceway Camping?

We've never been to a race and are contemplating bringing our two campers for the July race next summer. It's about a 4 hour drive from here.

How do you reserve the sites at the track? I see they have a renewal option so I'm going to assume that you can reserve the same campsite year after year if you'd like.

Is there any chance of getting the prime location sites? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  • I think I am going to book in the "preferred RV" infield spot row B. I have been to Charlotte for the last two years and want something different and closer to home. They didn't have any fence line sites available after the renewal period
  • I attended the inaugural race there in the late 1960's.

    Call the track ticket office.
And/or visit their website. Link provided in previous post.

All the ones I've been to are similar in the way they handle things.

Sites inside the track (if they have any) are WAY expensive.
Sites outside the track with hookups are moderately expensive.
Sites outside with no hookups are very reasonable....at most tracks.
  • I camped there one time. But not in the reserved area. They put you in a spot as you arrived. They do check inside the Rv to see if no extra people are there that doesn't have a race ticket.
