- BAMA_57ExplorerMy wife and I spent the weekend at the campground with our travel trailer. The camp sites are crammed too close together, the sewage hookups were not designed properly (too high out of the ground). We ended up not using it until we were ready to leave the campground because of the poor design. In looking around at the other sites they all seemed have the same problem. There were LOTS of kids there so if you have a young family they will be right at home. On the good side we loved the walking/biking trail. The water park looked good too although we did not use it.
- Ramblin_RecksExplorerJust to follow-up. Couldn't stay at Point Mallard as they did not have a spot for 30 days. So ended up a Swan Creek in Tanner, Al. It is a mixed use mobile home/RV park. Large sites, FHU, and price is very reasonable.
- Ramblin_RecksExplorerThank you for the reviews! Heading there Saturday!

This a good size park with lots stuff to do and reasonable rates. Has anyone stay here before and would like to comment on it?
Thanks for sharing!
Its a pretty decent place for the price . Plenty of trees for shade with full hookups, and yes its rustic with lots of kids during the summer time. - DixiechickExplorerWe go there every September for the Bankston Rally (Bankston owns several RV dealerships and Tiffin co-sponsors the rally with Bankston). It is somewhat rustic, has lots of trees and decent size sites. The golf course is located across the road and the clubhouse serves a reasonably priced breakfast. The park is located at the end of the road adjacent to an upscale residential neighborhood so there is no noise. There is an ice rink and water park on the premises and water suitable for kayaking. If you enjoy old towns and antiquing you will like Decatur. We always look forward to our annual trek!
