Popular place in Red River for sale

Some of you who have visited Red River, NM for a long time probably stayed at the Roadrunner RV park. And were really disappointed when it closed its doors a few years ago. Sad, because it really is a nice place!

Anyway, I was looking around a real estate site this morning and noticed that the place is now for sale. It's a bunch larger than I'd thought from driving through it, though I admit that it's been quite a few years since we've been over there! I've you've got a few million spare dollars, I guess this might be your dream-come-true!

Oh, I guess I should add that I don't own this place and am not selling it, either.

  • I agree, SandiaMan! It is a pretty area, but I suspect it'll take some work to return the Roadrunner to its former popularity. On the other hand, the word around here was that the former owner of the RV park -- I don't know if that's the same as the current seller or not -- used to be a bit of a bear about reservations and the like. On the other hand, evidently the place was so incredibly popular that even less than perfect management didn't put a dent in the profit margin.

At that price tag, though, I just don't know. $4.75 million is a far cry from anything that many folks could afford. My total wealth is a whoooole lot closer to $4.75 thousand than to $4.75 million!

  • Very nice real estate indeed, of course the entire region (Enchanted Circle) boasts some amazing vistas. We have stayed at this property in the past, but prefer the state park down the road in Eagle Nest. Hard to say if anyone will bite on the property at the current asking price, hopefully it can be returned to it's former glory soon.
