Our first year as snowbirds we left on Dec. 26th headed to the Florida Keys. It was a traffic nightmare to say the least! The 2nd year we were held up leaving due to doctor's appointment and did not leave until Dec. 29th. No traffic issues that time going the same route we did the 1st year. Unfortunately this year we are stuck home due to health issues, but getting better and may go south for the month of March! I guess my suggestion is to be patient, flexable and watch the weather.
