Spanish Trail is where we stayed last year and we liked it--clean, FHU, nice views of La Sal Mountains. We used it as a base for day trips to Arches, Canyonland, Dead Horse State Park. Also, just north of town is a highway that runs along the river and has some really pretty scenery--it is also the highway that leads to Fisher Towers. There is a lodge along the way with a great free museum with lots of memorabilia about movies made in the area.
And just south of Spanish Trail is Hole in the Rock--worth a visit just because it's so unusual!
