Red Jammers
We will be in Glacier in a few weeks and want to ride the Red Jammers. I have read posts about the CG's in the area, My question is which is the better CG to stay at to catch the Red Jammers?

I already did, I'm lookin for first hand info....- Apgar campground. It's on the west side. If you go east to the McDonald Lodge, you'll see many of the Jammers in the parking lot. I think there is probably a place to pick one up in the commercial area just outside the Apgar campground.
- In 2012 we stayed at The Glacier Meadow RV Park which is located on the South Edge of Glacier NP.
I picked this campground because it is a Pick Up Point for the Red Tour Bus.
We ordered our tickets on line and told the agent where we wanted to be picked up and the date.
We were picked up at the camp ground office and made the complete loop through the park and back to the camp ground.
We stopped for lunch at McDonalds Lodge.
The camp ground has Electric/water hook ups at the sites and a Honey wagon comes around to pump out black tanks.

- My business was part of the restoration of the red buses and I wanted to ride one at Glacier too. We stayed at Glacier meadows also and loved the ride and enjoyed the park. Have fun.
- Thanks everyone we are headed out in a few hours and we will eventually be on the east side of the Park. Maybe St Mary's or one of the other Park CG's. In the eight years of traveling I've only stayed in a handful of private CG's, then some one else paid for it. I mostly boondock in out of the way places, that's where the fishin is the best.
