Little Red Campfire

Mine didn't have a round piece.
But I did get it a few years ago.

I did just order a new one today ($92 also on Amazon) for a relative, so I'll see if it has one when it gets here.

I use mine several times a year. I'm allergic to smoke. I thought it was kind of cheesy at first but after it gets dark out it's like any other fire minus the smoke..

That's what I figured. I saw a youtube video and the guy had the grooves upward. I would think that the stone look on the other side would be better represented upward, otherwise it could just be smooth. When I received it, it was in bubble wrap and the grooves were up and the instructions did not indicate either way. I emailed Camco also, will see what they say as well.

Do you use the 1lb propane tanks or the larger ones?

I'm wondering how long a 1lb would last.

I just got mine from Amazon, today. I put the grooved side down.

Love ours. We've had it going on about 4 or 5 years now. I love a campfire but if it's raining out it's nice to have it where we can move it around. During some of the burn bans you can use it (check first) and used it an open utility trailer in the snow and rain. I just used a normal BBQ tank with ours. Used it at home on our deck too.

I've heard a 1 lb tank will last about 2 hrs on medium flame but haven't actually tested it. You have to have a special propane adapter to make it fit a small tank and it's $30, not willing to spend that so I just use a regular tank. My wife made fun of it at first but now she likes it and it's a great conversation starter. Plus I enjoy watching others struggle to build a fire and get it going while I simply turn a valve and light it up

R's is just the ticket at site 28 at Walmart & in "no wood fires" campgrounds. Grooves are, umm, I fergit... 20lbs propane lasts a long time.

Thanks guys. I never knew anything like this existed. It looks like there's a few different brands out there but nothing nearly as affordable as the little red campfire. thanks for the tip
