Returning to the fold (hopefully)

Hi folks, I am a member of the B+ group but I haven’t had an rv for a number of years. We are thinking about renting one and (since we are now older) seeing if we still have the spark.  I was wondering what sources are now available?   I used Woodruffs and another guide ‘back when’ but I know that things have changed dramatically since we were active.

thanks in advance!

  • If only we had a device that we could use to find the information we seek…..

  • Welcome back Charlie. Renting is a great idea to see if you still are interested in the life style. I would do a quick google search for "RV for rent" and see what you find. Yes it could be a bit more than you expected with all the incidentals that might drive up the rental cost. But probably still a heck of a lot cheaper than buying just to experiment.

  • Sources for renting? Check local craigslist ads for Mom and Pop rentals. Most dealers will also have some rentals on hand. Be prepared to pay a fee for just about everything from cleaning to topping off the lp tanks. But renting is an excellent way to see if you really want to start RVing again without a massive expense and regret.

Or literally google rv rental and see the popular rental sites pop up on your screen.  Like vrbo for campers.
      And I don’t mean Craigslist….rofl

Tell us you’re handing out advice without any idea what you’re talking about without telling us .SMH

Remember, nothing to get upset about. Just trying to do my part to guide unresourceful boomers to being a little more self sufficient in life!  Lol

When we had our RV rental business we advertised on CL and got most of our business that way. More than we could handle.
