I used the Accuweather historical average high/low for
WPB and for
Mission, TX. I agree that most days in S Fla it's more like 10 degrees, BUT when we have a cool morning we can have a 30-35 degree swing. I did not want to rub it in that S TX has on average colder nights (52+/-) than what we have resulting in many days with an even greater than 22+ difference.
If you look at this months low temps for Mission, it almost always goes below 60. The average low for them is in the low to mid 50's while WPB is 58-61.
It's interesting that their average swing in temp is greater than our's and my somewhat educated guess is with Fla being surrounded by water and it's many lakes they decreases our swings. When I became a pilot four decades ago I became much more interested in the weather. Do not get me started on the G W hoax.
