Anyone like to share thoughts recommending a campground in Ridgecrest. From my research....offerings seem sparse. Will be coming from Needles, CA along 395 to Oregon.Much thanks.dt

Unless you qualify for a military FamCamp (Sierra Vista on China Lake NWS), there isn't much in Ridgecrest. If you don't need hookups, going a little further west to CA-14 you could try Ricardo CG at Red Rock State Park. About 70 miles further up the road is Boulder Creek RV Park near Lone Pine.

Are you comfortable with dry camping? I can tell you all sorts of spots near Ridgecrest. Let me know.

+1 for Ricardo CG in Red Rock Canyon. Desert dry camping at it best IMO and only $25 a night.
