Re the issue of allowable types of waste: I sort of remember high school biology having a lesson on the parasites and such carried by wastes. Human waste carries stuff which infests humans, sheep waste carries sheep-attacking critters, and so on. If the animal which deposits the waste does not carry bugs which bother humans, the waste is legally tolerated unless in cases and places where the law has acted for esthetic reasons. I hope I am wrong here and wish it would all just go away, but we know that it won't until every living being is required to use a WAG bag. :-)
