Rockport tx
A question for someone familiar with campgrounds around Rockport that would have a field near by to excerise and let our 11 year old black lab run and keep limber. He is a well trained retired field trial dog. Thanks for your reply!

- There is a nice off leash dog park in the city park. Just west of the post office.
- We are currently in Rockport! Yes on the dog park and there are also ball fields there that are not in use during the winter months. Feel free to PM us if you have other ?'s are need more information.
- Check the area out before you turn him out. Goat head thorns and sand burrs are terrible in unfertilized grass areas in mid to southern Texas. Our dog had a terrible time there last winter and at times she would lockup and refuse to walk they were so bad.
- Not a problem in Rockport area. We walked the dogs at Aransas wildlife refuge, Goose Island state park, and the beach at Port Aransas. Not one sticker. Lots of nice RV parks in the area. Come on down.
