Along with the Milepost, which I find a bit too commercial, check out The Traveler's Guide to Alaskan Camping by Mike Church. Far more useful. If you start the Alaskan Highway at Dawson Creek, stop at the visitor center for their fuel & campground guide handout. Probably the most up to date list available (if they are still doing it).
We made the trip in 2015 and found the Teklanika Campground in Denali a good location - you can't drive after hauling your trailer to the campground, but you have a open pass for the buses for your entire stay. Even in 2015 Teklanika was "full" (with lots of empty sites) by the time we got there. We made reservations in December for a July visit. Our Alaska Trip.
