We are in Bryce Canyon Utah and will be heading to Idaho tomorrow.. We'll be traveling on HWY 84 to Boise and up to Coer d Alane via hwy 55.Any suggestions on nice rv parks along the way especially once we get to Coer D Lane.. We have a 32ft MH and pulling a toad.. for over night stops we look for pull thrus and at least electric and water..We are planing on traveling for 6 weeks so any nice area and good parks mean we stay for a while although for long stays we would like full hook-ups..Also any suggestions on what to see and do would be appreciated.. Boat lake tours, trolly tours etc. that we might enjoy. ThanksBarb

As you drive through Boise you'll soon come to Caldwell. Ambassador RV Park is about a mile off the interstate - has long pull-thrus, manicured grass between the sites, pool, clubhouse, nice laundry and private bathrooms with very clean showers. Ambassador RV Park, Caldwell, IdahoThere's also a Flying J fuel station and Denny's restaurant at the interstate. It's an excellent RV park for a stopover. Have a great trip!

We stayed at Heyburn Riverside RV Park Heyburn, IdahoYou can call them for a reservation. We came thru Moab on hwy 191 and had a hard time googling for a campground but found that there are two in Green River, UT. One is a KOA but we stayed at the Good Same park instead just because I don't like KOA's. It was around $30 for a pull thru with water/electric. Really sparse as far as shade and grass went. I'm not recommending it but I'm telling you that they are there. There is a lot of NOTHING for a long long way between Green River and Salt Lake City. Beautiful scenery but not much else. Be sure to Gas up in Green River. The grade isn't steep but it's a steady pull to Salt Lake City. If the wind is holding you back it's a fuel eater.After Salt Lake City it gets sparse again real quick. NO SERVICES for miles. Everything was nice and green so the dust wasn't bad. There's plenty of smoke coming from Eastern Oregon so the air was gray north of Salt Lake City... but I did not smell smoke so it wasn't all that bad.We just came through there four days ago.

If you're looking for a park near SLC check out Mountain View RV Park in Heber City, UT. Great little park. The wife and I stayed there last July 3rd, and had an amazing time. And Heber City is a cute little town, too!

We love Blackwell island. The kiddos can spend hours riding on the BMX track by the dog run. Next time we're going to rent a pontoon boat for the day, for sure.

Probably the best RV Park in/near Coeur d Alene is Blackwell Island. Very nice. Has anbout everything, even a good place to eat.

Rock Creek County Park in Twin Falls, ID. And if you are an Elks Lodge member, the CDA lodge has nice RV parking.

Caldwell is about 40-50 miles round trip out of your way, getting to Hwy 55.

If you intend on staying in Boise overnight or so, take exit 50A from I84. stay left when exiting to S. Cole Road. Turn left, (going North)on S. Cole. Stay on Cole heading North, following the main flow of traffic. Cole turns into Mountain view, then Glenwood, stay with the flow of traffic. You will come to the intersection of Glenwood & Chinden, Continue through the intersection North for approx 3/4 mile. On your right hand side will be "Boise Riverside RV Park" from there, Hwy 55 to North Idaho is only about 3-4 miles, on Hwy 44 (State St.)

Or the Poison Creek section of Cascade Lake State Park in Donnelly (Hwy 55 between Cascade and McCall). Turn left at the gas station and go down the west side of the lake to the tamarack Ski area entrance. Full hookups, open spaces, room for big rigs.
