- keyman44ExplorerWe stayed at Bayou Segnette State Park, very nice. Get a map/directions from them to get to the ferry. It is 10 mile away and you will need good directions to find it but it is worth doing. It cost $2 each. You can park on the street or a private parking lot $5 weekdays, $10 weekends.
- diazr2ExplorerTry Bayou Segnette State Park Full hook ups and a couple of blocks from the ferry, to the French Quarter. Ferry is free to ride. Dont take your car in there less you get stuck. You can walk around the French Quarter and take Taxi or Handsome Cab into the newer part of the city a Fun Place for sure.
- RVcrazyExplorerThe most important thing is a shuttle to NO. We don't want to drive in...
- padredwNomadSure, and we prefer to stay on that side of the lake.
Our favorites are Fairview/Riverside State park at Madisonville, LA and Fontainbleau State Park just down the road (off I 12) a bit. But there are lots of private campgrounds in the same area. There are full hookups at both these state parks (not all sites, but some).
