Stopover for me is a place to get some rest and an early start in the morning. If that is the case, Isleta Resort and Casino is about 20-30 minutes south of ABQ and is just off I-25. They have an RV park across the street that is roughly $35, has nice views and transportation to and from the casino is free. There is a section for drycamping available at the casino, either way it is a quick in and out and back on the highway.
If you tend to have lots of daylight available on your stopovers, one of the many state parks south of ABQ along I-25 might do the trick, They are just a few minutes drive off the exit ramp and all have good ratings. If enjoying the outdoors is high on your list these offer nice sites, many with covered and cemented patios. We love Tucson and have many friends and relatives in the area. Hope you have a wonderful stay in southern AZ.
