- darsbenExplorer IIMy thought is it is hard to advise as you have imparted no information that would allow me to advise.
WHY DO you want to join Coast to Coast and where is the park you want - GMandJMExplorerFigure out if how much you are really going to be able to use it and how much it is actually going to cost you in purchase price, yearly fees and the like.
Then consider whether or not you'll be able to easily get rid of it if you find you don't use it much or decide you no longer want it.
If you're okay with your answers you - go for it. If you have doubts, don't. - rogerramjet442ExplorerBuyer beware, if you do this do your homework, which you are doing. I just gave one away last year to get out of it.plenty of cheap ones out there to get in but hard to get out. They even said we could not discuss or compare anything about it it on property. They are in N C and Penn.
- CalicajunExplorerLook for a membership reseller you can save on the cost that way.
- Pangaea_RonExplorerI'd spend a bit of time deciding how you will use your RV until you make that type of purchase. Unless you have a specific park that you will want to spend the majority of your time, I would recommend not locking yourself into a membership. Be flexible for now.
- 2gypsies1Explorer IIISome 'resorts' are really not resorts. Unless you choose to spend all your time in one place which I would think of being boring, and have a lot of time to use it - personally, I wouldn't advise it. A lot of those 'resorts' are old and sometimes they fold.
- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIDO NOT BUY membership directly from a Park/Resort..........DO NOT !!!
IF you are going to buy then buy via RESALE ONLY.
LOTS of RESALES available with ALL the benefits/privileges but pennies on the dollar.
Are you going to be traveling Full Time?
IF not.then it is really difficult to recoup membership costs for a few trips each year.
We used a park membership with C2C affiliate membership but we traveled FT for 7 yrs. and we bought it via RESALE for $950 total. (Resort memberships can cost several thousands if purchased directly at the resort/park.
DO NOT BUY DIRECTLY..............RESALE ONLY and really check out what your are purchasing/annual dues/ability to resale/transfer fees/any limitations-exclusions...in other words READ the WHOLE contract/transaction FIRST. - cruiserjsExplorerWe have been C2C members for many years (1999) but have used our home park seldom! Check their catalogue to see all the places around the continent you can use your membership and then decide if it will fit your long-term travel plans. As far as we are concerned the real value in C@C is the travel options and not necessarily the 'home park' use.
Feel free to send me a PM for more information. - mr_turtleExplorerThanks to all that gave a reply. We are destination travelers (family & friends) and don't do a lot of site seeing. So from the replies, it seems that a membership is not the way to go.
