Rv site near duke hospital

Mytime, is it wet just because of all the rain? or something else? I plan to stay there the week of Christmas while visiting DD in Holly Springs.

Thanks for all the input, I decided to go to the fairgrounds, all my family lives on that side of the hospital.

I highly recommend Spring Hill RV Park. We spent several days there while visiting #1 Grand Daughter who is working at the Duke Hospital. Spring Hill used to be a mobile home park. The owner is converting it to an RV Park - very few mobile homes left there. Full hookups, very long pull through sites. Each site could easily be converted into two back-in sites and still handle a large rig. Decent rates and very hospitable owners. Check their website for directions, www.springhillpark.com

Call the parking office and they will give you detailed info on where you can park during visits.

We stayed for free in the large vehicle parking next to the parking garage across from the main entrance. Actually 12 years ago it was $3 a day and we stayed for over a week. More recently it was free. It is first come first served and OK for a 32ft. I don't know if a 42ft would fit but you can check it out. Only 3 or 4 spaces. Fuel, propane, and dump site was at exit 153 rt40 Haw River, Flying J.
For $25 per day with full hookups and free WIFI the State Fair Grounds, behind the horse facilities, in Raleigh suits us best when in the area.
None of the "Close By" campgrounds impressed us when we were in the need but that may have changed over the years.

They say that they are close to Duke University Med Ctr.

No personal knowledge, but you might check out Spring Hill RV Park.

We have friends staying at Jones Station RV Park while waiting for a transplant. It's about 25 miles to Duke.
