I would also recommend Travelers World especially if you can get a pull thru. Plenty of room and good space between sites. But lots of snowbirds stay there. May be a problem getting sites.
Very easy access to downtown, Alamo, Riverwalk, El Mercado (Market Square), Buckhorn Museum, etc. Bus stop right out front if you prefer not to drive downtown. But the street right in front goes straight downtown and we found easy parking right at the Riverwalk.
If you are arriving on I-37, do not take the East Southcross Blvd route to get there. Steep railroad crossing to go over. Use Military Drive to Roosevelt Ave instead.
