Campland is referred to as 'Woodstock' by many of us locals. Chula Vista RV is very nice, but a recent review on rvparkreviews identified a concern I have had about being there. Mission Bay RV for the stuff in that area. Silver Strand, especially midweek, would be great for accessing the Coronado area. As far as Lake Skinner goes, it can be an absolute zoo, rivaling Campland, during weekends. Campground hosts have the told me in the past that local law enforcement won't support their efforts & locals know it. Pretty vacant midweek this time of year. And I believe it is Passport America. Pechanga is a very nice park, but is very popular on weekends. For easy access (if you time it around commuter traffic) to all of the Temecula & SD areas, you might consider Champagne Lakes located between Temecula & Escondido near the Lawrence Welk development. We spent New Year's Eve there. Could have heard a pin drop! Just what we were looking for! Word is getting out about the improvements the new owner has done. It is getting pretty popular.
