We stayed at San Francisco RV Resort this summer and had a great stay. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. This is not to discount your experience, but hopefully, you encountered a bad apple who is not indicative of the RV park overall.
Yes, it's a parking lot. Yes, it's expensive. However, we found it to be a great basecamp for exploring the city. The location in Pacifica was scenic and convenient. I wrote a review of it here, if anyone wants to see picture and read more: San Francisco RV Resort.
