Seasonal Camping Near Auburn, Alabama?

We currently live in downtown Chicago and have a seasonal site at Sunny Brook RV Resort (http://www.sunnybrookrvresort.com/). We are considering a move to Auburn, Alabama. Are there any seasonal campgrounds within a 2-hour driving radius of Auburn?

Alabama State Parks have a 14 day limit.

Wind Creek has monthly rates, $450 I believe. We have been camping here for two years, there are permanent RV's there. Most do keep their sites neat looking, its the work campers that have junk all over their site.
  • I myself am currently looking at Chewacla State Park in Alabama which is close to Auburn. Looks to be a nice park.
  • Wind Creek State Park is an hour north on Highway 280 West. Its a well maintained park on Lake Martin. 30 amp service with sewer and water on inside sights with a few on the water. Most water sights are 30amp and water only. They are in the process of building new 50amp full hookup sights. We camp three to four times a year and really enjoy it. Check out Alaparks.com. Have fun and is beautiful down here.

You might want to look into LAKE MARTIN NW of Auburn...

They have a nice seasonal camp ground there with permanent residence.

Lake Martin also has the Maxwell/Gunter MWR Recreation Area located there if you are military connected.
