We've stayed twice in River Plantation and like it fine. However I might be too late to make reservations! I'd like to have a backup plan.Where do you like to stay? Thanks, Ru

Pine mountain in pf gets a lot of positive comments. We've not stayed there yet. We have stayed at Camping in the Smokies and Smoky Bear, both east of Gatlinburg. Both are fine, clean, etc., although Smokey Bear was pretty far out. Lots of choices in that area.

Sometimes we do stay at RIVEREDGE RV PARK just as you enter Pigeon Forge coming from Gatlinburg... Lots of shade, full hookups, really nice folks that run the place and does have a trolley stop on site. This is very central to all of the things around the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge areas.This is our PLAN B stop haha...Roy Ken

+1 for Pine Mountain. Nice amenities – pool, bathrooms, beaucoup pull-throughs – and the FREE Pigeon Forge Trolley stops at the MainStays hotel across the street... Which you can take to the x-fer center and get on any of the trolley routes!

We stayed at Riverside Rv Park in Sevierville. Was well satisfied, there was even a big bluegrass festival right next to it we could walk to.

Have stayed at Ripplin Waters many times. Just down the street from Riverside, same river. Basic campground, full hookups, pool, laundry, pets. Quiet during the week.
