Snowbirding at Leaf Verde in Buckeye AZ

Can anyone give me some insight to snowbirding at Leaf Verde RV Resort in Buckeye AZ. This is our first year doing the snowbird thing in this area. How is the park, what kind of weather can we expect during Jan, Feb, and March in this area? Places to see and visit, Shopping, etc. Any information anyone can give us would be appreciated.

Gila Bend is the real warm town in Az.

Well they could just raise their rates and say cable tv and Wifi are free. Arizona is much nicer than Florida.

  • Have stayed at Leaf Verde for a month (usually Feb) 3 or 4 times (last time was Feb-Mar 2014 for the NASCAR race). Can't beat the rates for 50 amp long pull thrus. Weather has always been great. Nice warm pool, great people (make sure you go to donuts Sat morning), if you like games..lots to do. Its an easy walk to Walmart & fast food places. Whenever we stay in the west, we try to go. Cons are the side by side hookups....the quality of your stay is related to the quality of your neighbor.
  • Sorry I can't help you with info about your chosen resort in Buckeye AZ. However I want to encourage you to drive out to Quartzsite, AZ some time during the month of Jan. There is no way to describe what you will see - nothing but RV's for miles & miles.
