- pnicholsExplorer IIHere's a spectacular California beach drycamping spot we were in this past April (those are windsurfers in the sky behind our RV):

- nina_70ExplorerFigured I would revive this thread again. Found another fabulous dry-camping spot on the Oregon Coast. This is at Winchester Bay Marina on the central coast. You can park your rig right on the water. Great little beach, lots of dunes and lighthouse nearby too.

I'll add our latest. Antelope Island State Park, UT. Amazing place in the middle of Great Salt Lake. Only problem are the gnats!!
But the views....to die for. Sites are HUGE and only $10/night.
Wonderful place to camp. Some of the best views of the Great Salt Lake available and oh, the sunsets! I try to get out there at least once a year. Yes, the bugs can be bad in the spring. - EurocamperExplorer

BLM camping outside of Moab, Utah
Which Moab BLM is this? Looks much nicer than the spot we stayed at (Big Bend)
Sand Flats Recreation Area - nina_70ExplorerKind of a "cheat" 'coz this campground does have hookups too, but we're in a dry-camping spot facing the river. Memaloose State Park on the Columbia River Gorge in OR.
This is the view from our back-yard: - nina_70Explorer
- garyhauptExplorerOrange Bride, just east of Kitimat, for the weekend..and contrary to two weeks ago...was empty till Saturday night.

- pnicholsExplorer IIThat spot where we were camped at Jalama was one of the premium spots right along the beach. Just eyeballing them, I'd say that about 35' would be the comfortable limit of some of the premium spots - the rest of them probably less than that length. A Class A of about that length was in the next spot over from us when we were there.
Up on the hill above the beach with spectacular views of the whole beach and on down at the level of the beach - but away from the beach - are large spots that could take about any size.
Most of them are drycamp sites, but some up on the hill are full hookup. There are a few first-come-first-served sites in the park still, but as of a few months ago most of the sites are reservation sites now. We did not make reservations - but just lucked out by arriving on a Sunday evening.
The campground is occasionally evacuated during ICBM test launches from Vandenberg AFB.
Of course the MAIN reason to camp at Jalama are the famous Jalama Burgers served at the old gift shop restaurant!
