Our daughter has reservations at St Andrews beginning this coming weekend with her youth group. We received an e-mail to call before coming as her/some sites might be flooded. Anyone at the campground that might give us an idea of how the bayside sites are looking?

Perhaps if you listed the state in which your St. Andrews is located you will get a response. The only St. Andrews I think of is in Scotland.

St Andrews is a FL State Park in the pan handle of FL. Bayside sights are in a lowing lying area. A large storm is moving across the Gulf this week. Could be flooding on the sites, I would think if they do flood the water will drain off fast. Sites might be muddy.

This has been an issue at St A since last summer and it has a serious impact on the CG. Some of the problem is the reluctance of the park management to do what is needed to fix it claiming a lack of money and environmental regulations. The place has become a mud hole and some of the maintenance needed has nothing to do with regulations, it is bad management IMO. Frankly this is one of the top parks in the system income wise and it is a downright shame how far they have let it slip. I will no longer use the park.

I've stayed there several times in the past couple of years, and have always gotten that call. I guess they do that to cover their a--, but I've never had a problem. There are several sites that flood if there has been a lot of rain in the few days before your visit.I doubt you'll have a problem, but you can just call the office to check before you go.Very good park - lots to do in the area and yet it is somewhat isolated from the madness outside the gates. Enjoy your trip.

We were just there a couple of weeks ago. It poured rain one day, space got a little muddy, but not any worse than anywhere else. We were in a bayside site and it was quite nice, not a mud hole at all. The bathrooms were clean, the washer and dryer worked, the beach was absolutely beautiful, and I would go back in a heartbeat. We did get flooded out a couple of days later at Fort Pickens. Stepping out of our trailer meant stepping into ankle deep water. But, it is all what you make of it. Most campers took it in stride.

Decided too bypass St Andrews this year due to their lack of maintenance. It was a disaster last year, some sites were under a foot of water while the rest of the campground was mostly mud. Heading to Grayton Beach this year.

The kids wanted to go to Panama City/St Andrews. I always go to Henderson Beach.We have reservations for mid April. I count the days.
