Can't help you much on St Augustine unless you're retired military. We stay at either Mayport Navy Base or Jacksonville NAS when we're in that area.
I would recommend AGAINST Jude RV in New Orleans. We pulled in there late one evening our 1st time in NOLA. We weren't familiar with NOLA at the time and only went there because we thought it was convenient. We just stayed the 1 night. There are several train tracks and switching yard behind the campground that are constantly busy all night long. Really really noisy. The trains did kind of drown out the police and ambulance sirens. The sites are close together and could be tight if you have a long rig and others in the area are long and stuck out. It's not the best area of town. Generally if you see something on Chef Menteur Hiway it's not a place you want to be walking around at night.
For NOLA I recommend any of the LA state parks. LA has very nice state parks. Water, electric and WiFi. No sewer hookups but dump stations. Very nice clean shower houses. Very well maintained facilities and grounds.
We have been thru St Bernard SP several times but haven't stayed there. We usually get into NOLA from the north or west so St Bernard is on the wrong side of the city for us.
We have stayed at Bayou Signette SP several times. Easy to get to from the west and not all that much traffic. Nice quiet campground.
On the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain are 2 state parks a few miles on either side of the causeway are 2 nice state parks. Fairview-Riverside SP to the west of the causeway and Fountainbleu SP to the east. Both very nice.
X2 on north shore of Lake Ponchartrain, a little ride but safer.
