  • I usually bring my Celestron Nexstar 5 when camping. It's just the right size for portability and light gathering.

    Last night was beautiful at Claytor Lake State Park and a telescope is always an attention getter. I showed some folks double stars and a few globular clusters. Saturn is wonderful with the rings almost at maximum inclination.

    I love options and the way you can filter out certain elements to focus on specific elements and or see almost everything in whichever segment of the sky you're aimed at, including the ISS.
