Seems to me the only correlation between the O.P. and those that are having a less than fortunate life is the method of overnighting. And lets be real here..many of the people that frequent this website are NOT having an unfortunate life. It is very difficult for people that have never been without to relate to those that are 'doing without'. Without an actual home, or food, or healthcare or a decent job. And truthfully, many on here have no wish or intention of ever knowing someone like that, let alone being camped beside..or welcoming someone onto their street.
And..there is no easy answer. But tolerance is a gift and it really needs to be embraced by those that have forgotten how to do that. There is no need to go overboard, but treating others in the manner that we too wish to be treated goes a long way.
And..some of you need a reality check. The O.P. did nine years service in the army. You could send a pm apologizing.
