Storage tent?

For fun, I go to renaissance festivals, where I get a spot for the season, which I set up, then visit on weekends.

What would one recommend for a fairly large storage tent that would be easy to put up and take down, but decent enough to last a season? The biggest issue is sandy soil and 50 mile/hour winds, so I would have to use corkscrew anchors or anchors that go down at least several feet.

I notice our local SWUM CLUB here in the neighborhood uses alot of those PVC CAR GARAGE structures. They will put one up right next to their high steel fence for support and have them for storage of pool things or open air picnic tables with only a tarp roof etc..

The structures stay up the year around and they use regular TARPS to put on the tops and sides

    Looks something like this maybe...

  • I like the 12 man octagon military tents. It will last a long time.
  • Thanks for the tip on those stakes. Those are a must if one wants a tent not to wind up in a nearby tree due to the sugar sand.

Last year, I saw someone who had a storage tent, but not sure of the manufacturer. It was almost like a canvas Quonset hut, except 20 or so feet long, 10 feet high, and 10 feet wide. This would be useful for not just storage, but providing extra bed space that can be heated (via a Buddy heater on a table) in an event like an ice storm. (It has been an insane winter, and I've barely made it back home several times from a camping trip before the water froze on the roads, so I'm making sure I have the ability to stick it out 3-4 days if need be.)

I always have a couple sets of four 16-inch anchors in my tool box. These have a three inch blade on them. My OFF-ROAD POPUP has eyelets in the four corners of the roof and I run 1-inch ratchet web straps to the ground when I setup. This keeps my POPUP from moving side to side. Without the straps I can reach up above the door and push in and it will move the walls a good six inches back and fourth. There is no movement from end to end...

It knocked off my microwave one time sitting on a shelf so thats when I started using web strap tie downs.

These anchors screw right into the ground real easy with a #2 screwdriver and leave no marks where you removes them. Think I got a couple of these sets from PEPBOYS...

You can see one of the 1-inch eyelets in this photo next to my antenna mount.
