Strawberry Festival FL

FYI made reservations at the festival CG paid and received confirmation for 30 amp service found upon arrival that most of the CG had a 20 amp household type outlet attached to a 12/3 wire I was told that is what they call 30 amp service, they called their electrican who tried to convice me that it was 30 amp because thats what breaker he had in the panel. We asked and recieved our money back then left. Had they been honest with me and not joked about their so called 30 amp I might have stayed.

    Too bad you couldn't get into the Alafia River State Park just 20 minutes or so down Hwy 39 from Plant City. Honest 50/30/20 electric and water hookups and fantastic hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails. We just left there today after a two week stay, and had a great time at the Strawberry Festival on Friday as a windup to our visit.

    You should post the name of the CG as that is not only dishonest but putting a 30A breaker in a 20A outlet can be dangerous as well. You did the right thing leaving and not accepting that situation.

    What would make a 30A outlet? What would make a 20A outlet. I know, do you?

    As I understand it, this was a temporary RV facility put in place just for festival visitors.

    It would typically be wire size and outlet type, what's your point?
