Bar Harbor KOA Oceanside. No pool but they do have a playground. Their sister campground which is right down the street has a pool that all guests can use. A bit outside but right on the water with the most incredible sunset views. The have a "train" that runs through the campground, cook lobster on-site, have pancake breakfasts, lots of kid's activities, you can rent kayaks right there, and the pie lady comes daily with a fantastic assortment of pies and other baked goodies. Campground is clean and very well run.
This is where we stay. There are no sewer hookups at the waterfront sites but the view is unbeatable. Last year we had seals and seabirds on the shore just in front of us, as well as loons, ducks, and cormorants out in the bay! The early fall sunsets are spectacular. The dump stations are very convenient when driving out. It is expensive, but for us it's a once a year treat!
