For 37yr. we have always spent some of the summer on the central and north Oregon coast. We usually pick late July or early August as being the best time to go weather-wise.

Been here for 30 yrs and 28 of those were working construction. I don't mind the heat just wanting some new adventures. And some new trails to ride. I'll be alone and would like to meet some people with similar interests in trail riding and such.

I used to tell people my favorite summer location. Now I am paying the price for it's popularity. Let my suffice to say it is somewhere north of Astoria, Oregon and south of Olympic National park. About a 100 yard walk through the dunes to the edge of the Pacific ocean.

My wife and I have traveled throughout the western states by motorcycle. Of all the places I have seen the areas around Jackson Hole are the greatest. The scenery is spectacular. The rivers are amazing. If I could summer in the US this would be our choice.
