Texas Rio Grande Valley Events, Attractions, Dining & More

Lets try this again, if you find a great place to eat, know of a fun event coming up, a good museum, entertainment, golf course or whatever. Please share. Lets limit this thread to the Rio Grande Vall...

There simple is too many good places to list them all, but when on the Island try these (from $$$ to $):

  • Sea Ranch
  • Gabriel
  • Louie's


In Port Isabel (as was already stated) Joe's (seafood) is good, as is Isabel's (Mexican,) and the Fisherman (family, especially the pot pie special.) Pelican Station can't be beat for the view/$ breakfast.

If you're coming from the upper valley and can't wait then Julia's in Los Fresnos is a sure thing.
