Dan, you can buy a star tracker for your camera and it will improve the pix 100%. But, they are rather expensive so it might be worth just buying a good scope (with built in tracker) to attach your camera to. Costs more but it will take you deeper into space. I'm a "deep sky" guy. ;) Planets get in the way of looking at galaxies. :)
