We were camping at The Goosenecks SP above the San Juan River in Southern Utah and looking at the night sky. I overheard our neighbors complaining about a bit of cloud cover obscuring the stars. I then walked over with my binoculars to share with them. They had never seen the Milky Way before, and were incredibly amazed with their new awareness, and true clarity of that night sky.
