Things to do, places to stay -- Western Kentucky

I'm planning a week-long trip through western KY, Cincinnati to Paducuah and looking for things to do and places to stay between here and there. We are crafty or artisan style people and enjoy day ...

Cumberland Falls is awesome, but that's way east of Paducah. The Land Between the Lakes is a nice peaceful area- check out Energy Lake Campground if you're in that area.
