The Rafter J in Hill City is a very nice, full-service campground. Campgrounds in Custer State Park are also very nice but mostly just electric hookups.
In ND near Theodore Roosevelt National Park your best bet is probably the Medora Campground. It's not what you would call first class but we've found the full hookups work well. The city swimming pool is a couple blocks away on the road into the campground. The campgrounds in the park (Cottonwood in the south unit; Juniper in the north unit) are primitive only, no hookups.
If you have specific questions about TRNP, Medora, or other parts of ND please feel free to PM me.
