- qtla9111NomadCool pictures Dan, it brings back memories. I worked there for a year when I was out of high school for the GSA. I think I could appreciate it more now. Thanks for posting your trip.

dadwolf, if you "commute" to Fresno via Tioga Pass, don't miss the Eastern Sierra, too. The area around Bishop Creek is fantastic -- the trailheads start at 9000 feet, so it is very cool up there, even when the Owens Valley is hot.

- dadwolf2ExplorerBeautiful pictures. Just tonight I told my wife that when we have to go over to Fresno next month we should sneak over to Sequoia.
- spacedoutbobExplorerGreat Trip report as usual. I am always telling friends of mine, if you think that the Sequoia Trees are huge, walk along side one that has fallen to get an idea of just how big they really are. Thank you again for sharing your photos and trip report.
Bob in Calif. - littlemoExplorerGreat report and pics!
Thanks for sharing them. - profdant139Explorer IIToobold, if you are in the Central Valley, you are in camping heaven -- there are cool, green, quiet places within easy reach all the way from the Giant Sequoia Monument above Porterville to the forests north of Tahoe. Living in coastal Orange County, it takes us almost three hours just to get to Bakersfield (depending on traffic), so you have a big head start!
- TOOBOLDExplorerI love your trip reports. I keep telling DH we need to head up there since we are already in the Central Valley.
- CT_WANDERERExplorerGreat photos. Thanks for sharing
