Day 5, Tuesday:
Camper retrieval day. Hooray!! We slept in again, shocking I know!
This was a Home2 hotel, so we were able to do the laundry we had worn so far on this trip. That meant I had underwear back on, yes!
We contacted the repair man to make arrangements for pick up and he told us he only accepts cash, no credit. Ok. Except we don't carry that amount of cash on hand, even when travelling, it exceeded our max limit on daily ATM withdraws, and our closest bank was 50 miles away. Perhaps that information would have been more helpful yesterday?!?! Ugh! Turns out if you call the bank they can do an emergency/temporary elevation on your ATM withdraw limit. That worked for us and only caused about a half hour of headache, but still; we felt like just one more thing going wrong and we're out of here and headed for home.
When we dropped off the camper, we left the fridge/freezer full of food. We didn't think we could carry it with us in the cooler and what would be the point anyway? You can't cook burgers in a hotel. I figured it would be a total loss. Nope. We had left the propane on and everything was still frozen sold or cold. I was shocked! This was not just a small favor as the freezer was jam packed with already prepared meals. It felt like opening a Christmas present!
Off we go. But where to? We were due in Virginia the next day. I suggested we go to Gettysburg, but nobody was enthusiastic about it and I really didn't care anymore. My priorities changed I guess.
So, we found a Jellystone park directly in the middle of our current location and our stop in Virginia. It was Hagerstown jellystone. That place was great. It was expensive for a FHU pull through, but it had free waterslides and pedal carts for the kids.
We hit the pool right after our arrival that afternoon. The two younger ones also spent quite some time on the water slides.
They also had outside laser tag for $5/person and I decided my kids needed a treat so I bought them a round. It was a huge hit! This was a new one for us as we had never done outside laser tag before.

I even managed to get my daughter on the nighttime wagon ride. I was surprised they have them during the week. The other Yogis we have stayed at they have only been offered on the weekends. My daughter was thrilled because we missed the wagon ride at the last Yogi we stayed at.
We went to bed at about 10 again, but this time I was able to put all of our things away where they belonged. It felt good to unpack from the totes and cooler. Believe it or not, the only food I lost was one single bag of bagels. Amazing luck there.
