Day 6, Wednesday:
We woke up in our camper with plans only to visit Jamestown on the way to Virginia. Originally we had planned on staying at Virginia Beach, but we ended up camping in a family member's yard. Bonus, b/c after all we had spent extra, any free night seemed like a steal.
On a whim, we noticed that the campground was very close to Antietam battlefield. We missed Gettysburg, we were close, we decided why not stop and check it out?

We headed up to the tower and ran into a Ranger already giving a speech to another group. We stuck around and listened to his speech and then decided to follow the other group over to the cemetery.
The ranger was so knowledgeable and I never would have guessed that so much thought went into the planning of how a cemetery is structured.

We went back to pick up the camper and had lunch as well. We realized that we'd be unable to make it to Jamestown prior to the close of the visitor center, so we took our time and headed out to our family's house leisurely.
