Two more questions on Yellowstone

In process of planning a trip for next year, probably early to mid-June and have 2 questions that I haven't seen addressed here yet.

1) Is the park any more crowded during the weekend than during the week? We're trying to decide when to arrive and if we should avoid the weekends?

2) Is there cable or local broadcast television signals for such things as news and weather at Fishing Bridge?

I know these things are trivial in the big scheme of things, but I'd like to know. Thanks.

  • Yellowstone Park is surrounded by farm communities. Not like large cities where peopoe work 5 days a week. These people take days off when work is slow. Not always on weekends. Basically the main crowds are tourists. I haven't seen campgrounds change that much on weekends. Unlike large cities where people go camping on weekends.

The towns in farming communities are the same way. Busy throughout the week as much as weekends.
  • Last week or two in September or the first couple weeks in October is a great time to visit Yellowstone. Crowds are gone, weather is cool so the animals are moving and the Elk are bugling. A few of the outer park buildings are closed this time of year but the main stuff is still open.

Hi from AZ. . . we were at YENP in early June for 12 days & it seemed like it got more crowded every day. Once the Summer season is in swing, didn't really notice much difference for weekend. We got no TV OR cellphone service at Fishing Bridge., We loved the place !!!> regards, Craig
