unhappy camper @ Ruthledge Lake RV Resort

I really don't know how to begin,
Reserve our space from the flyer that was posted on line so our family could visit us while we were in our home town. we reserve site #12, when we arrived site 12 had been given to a wedding party, so we were assigned site 20,but site 20 had a broken down camper on it, so, they reassigned us to site 57 all the way in the back and crammed between 2 other permanent campers that were here for extended stay, it was so small we barley had room to turn around loaded with red clay mud. we ask to be transferred but we were refused. even after half the park had rotated. even offering to compensate would have meant something, it was very clear these people were only concerned about the money and not about their customers we will never stay here again, if WOODALL'S thinks these people are good, maybe you should re-look this place. they ruined our week in the mountains. listen members. "DO NOT COME HERE" I could go on and on but I think you get the message. this place is a "getto"

Actually some of the reviews back up this poster's concerns.

Ya gotta start somehow. The key is if he comes back with something more meaningful.

  • As I have posted previously, the ratings are based on the amount of money the rater receives. I sat and watched this happen in an RV park we were working for. The GS/Woodalls rater came in, sat down with the manager, who handed him a written sheet of amenities & scores, a check for XX number of dollars and the rater got back into his vehicle and left. The rater never once set foot on the property, other than the office to collect his payoff. I had been shown the paper he received and what a surprise, the next GS/Woodalls published rating was a mirror of what the manager showed me.

That was the last CG book we ever purchased and the last commercial CG we worked for. We now rely on word of mouth and RVParksreview.com
