Thank you everyone for your great restaurant picks and places to visit! Too bad we are not staying longer. Hope we have good weather.

The Shrimp Basket in Destin is a great place for a reasonable priced seafood dinner. Difference in the price of a basic fried shrimp dinner, $11.99 at the Shrimp Basket, $18.99 to $19.99 at some of the others listed. Can't see the ocean from the Shrimp Basket though.

Best Restaurant: Stinky's Fish Camp - Santa Rosa Beach
Best Pizza: Jordano's - Miramar Beach
Best Lunch Place: The Back Porch - Destin

There are too many places in Destin to try and list the good ones. However, seek out The DoNut Hole for breakfast.

If you are thinking of renting a boat or jet-ski there, you'll need to show your completion of the Florida Boating safety class. Its done on-line and is free. They won't rent to you if you don't have one.

It is a nice place to stay at. Enjoy.

It is a smaller campground with tight sites, other than that a great place. Right on the beach with a nice pool and great scenery with the pool right on the bay!

Restaurants everywhere on the strip, seafood galore.

Go to the restaurants by the fishing docks and you can get fish cooked that just came in from the boats! Rent a pontoon boat and spend the day at Crab Island by Destin Bridge, it is lots of fun.....

Fort Pickens is nice to visit. National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola.

Ditto on back porch. But I recommend the amberjack and the baked oysters.
