I'm kind of torn on waffle farm, they only rent the lake front sites for a week at a time so if you are staying less than that you will not be able to be on the lake , some of the sites are ridiculously tight, they are long but very narrow we had some people set up a tent on the next site over right outside the door to our camper inches from the awning, on the other side we had loud partying group of recently graduated hs kids in tents right next to us making for a very unpleasant stay, also there are no fire pits, you just make your fire on the ground somewhere, the park is mostly seasonal campers. On the plus side the chain of lakes is very nice and the fishing is excellent , caught largemouth bass all day long, Im tempted to return because of the great fishing and hope for a better expirence. Pokagon in Angola is one of our favorites, nice lake and beaches but they are a little ways from the campsites, an easy bike ride though. They have great paved trails , hosreback riding and nice lodge, you can see pics of the sites on the Reservation page of the IN state parks, choose carefully because some sites are better than others, the sites are electric only.
