You have it figured out. South Texas weather is a lottery, but it is cheap. We move our happy hours inside with bad weather. We have already met inside the hall more times in December than we did all of the four months last winter combined. The odds are pretty good (50-50?) that we will get winter weather comparable to Florida or Arizona. But it is still cheaper.
What irritates me is that the weather bureau seems to be a part of the Chamber of Commerce. They usually say "three days from now, it is going to be great". On Friday "they" said "nice and warm" for today instead of the "trending colder" that "they" call for now.
