Weather forecasts

I run outdoor events and am responsible for the safety of everyone at my events. I use Radar Express on my smart phone. Great little app, instantly brings up the local radar, and you can zoom in and out, and loop several hours to see which way the storms are heading. Also alerts you of any advisories or warnings/watches in the area.

There are mulitple apps for smartphones. Many include hour to hour forecast along with radar map of incoming cloud cover.

Here is the one I use for forecasts: National Weather Service
Enter the zip code or city/state for your area.

For current severe weather info I use: Storm Chaser Live Video

I don't know how to link from this tablet, but if you google NOAA weather forecast, then enter the city and state you want....you'll come to a page that offers an "hourly graphical forecast" along the right side of the page if you scroll down a bit.

That forecast is based off the aviation forecast, which needs to be accurate. My experience is that it's wonderfully accurate for about 24 hours; and reasonably accurate further out.

Best one I've found is Weather Radio. Will give you all types of weather warnings.

When the day arrives I use this. You can put it in motion and zoom in / out. Best I have found that is easy to use.

In all the years I've been relying on it, it hasn't failed me yet!

Has an hourly forecast function. Uses local and area stations, user selected. Also has local radar and if you learn how to use the radar function, you can predict your own weather.

Accuweather dot com does hourly forecasts.. But it is in the form of

9am 10%
10 am 10%
11 am 25%
Noon 50%
1pm 90%

And of course I call them "In-accuweather" though in fairness they are doing much better ..
